Sustainable Fabrics
At Sewing Lounge we strive to be sustainable. That means sourcing from companies who take the environment seriously and are developing green products. We look for organic, which means chemical pesticides and fertilizers are not going into the groundwater, OEKO-TEX which indicates fibers are tested for harmful substances and manufactured in a sustainable and socially responsible way, GOTS Certified - the global organic textile standard, and fabrics made of recycled fibers. Also loving hemp, which takes less water to produce than cotton, replenishes the soil in which it grows and absorbs more CO2 per acre than rainforests!
